Today was paradise
On the rocks, garnished with a
Mint leaf
Or maybe basil.
Right now this
Room spins, curves like an
Oval and the
Walls are covered
With letters
I never replied to:
“Love you,”
“Let’s get together.”
Barf.
Easy on that “L” word, darling.
Before today sits
Empty in my glass,
Tomorrow will pour
Thick into someone
Else’s.
