City Smoker

C

I wrote this piece for an assignment. I was asked to use a lot of alliteration.

Enjoy,

Dahv

City Smoker

Her hand grenade kissed the cigarette.

Butt burned, tobacco flaked.

Inhaled one breath

Exhaled gusts of ghosts.

Leaned against the wall –

Left leg up, sole pocketed

Between brick; right hand

Raised – her shadow

Graffitied a crime scene.

Her fingers, like scissors,

Opened, dropped the cigarette.

Smoke rose, twisted and turned

Into tiny tornadoes.
