Lil’ Who?!

L

I want to do this real quick!

It is something I will probably do daily just for fun.

In my first official post I went on about the avoidance of meaningful lyrics, and how it is substituted by shock value and auto-tune.

But forget the auto-tune, and forget the great beats the producers make.

It may be painful–I know, but let’s look just at the lyrics.

First victim: Lil’ Wayne – Lollipop

‘Lil mama had a swag like mine
She even wear her hair
Down her back like mine
I make her feel right
When its wrong like lyin’
Man
She ain’t never had a love like mine
Man
I ain’t never seen an ass like hers
That pussy in my mouth
Had me at a loss for words
Told her to back it up
Like berp berp
And I made that ass jump
Like jerp jerp
And that’s when she’

Okay let’s look at this line by line…

The verse starts by Lil’ Wayne comparing himself to this woman as he talks about his swag and hair. But he somewhat contradicts himself by saying: ‘I make her feel right
When its wrong like lyin’
Man
She ain’t never had a love like mine’

So the question I have is what kind of love is he if he makes her feel right when it’s wrong like lying? Okay…moving on.

Now we get to the good stuff:

‘I ain’t never seen an ass like hers
That pussy in my mouth
Had me at a loss for words’

I think that all speaks for itself.

‘Told her to back it up
Like berp berp
And I made that ass jump
Like jerp jerp’

Now this is an example of the lyrics and the auto-tune clashing. He is either telling her to back it up like ‘burp burp,’ which makes no sense whatsoever. But then how does a girl make her ass jump like ‘jerp jerp?’ Damn auto-tune! I have no idea what is going because of you!

Jeez…
