Yesterday I received notification by the America Library of Poetry that my piece “Cubicle” has been registered as a finalist for the 2011 Student Poetry Contest. They are also going to publish “Cubicle” in their literary journal Acclaimed.

Cubicle
I pinned
my papers to your desk
before the legs
of the clock
closed.
You called them ‘hands,’
sweeping yours,
outlining my dress’
border;
I stole your passport.
I submitted three other pieces of verse to Alice Blue Review. I am still waiting for a reply from Tuesday; An Art Project and Fourteen Hills: two literary journals I submitted to in mid-June.
Keep it REAL when everyone else expects something FAKE.
