For any of you that have seen Broadway shows such as “Wicked” or “Hair Spray,” I have a question for all of you:
Can you enjoy the music of a Broadway show, with out actually seeing the live performance?
I remember when “Wicked” officially showed on Broadway and my parents and I were planning to see it. A week before we took our trip to NYC, my mother went out to buy the soundtrack. Even though a majority of the dialogue is substituted by song, you still don’t get the whole idea behind the show when you just listen to the music.
It’s kind of like when R. Kelly came out with his urban opera ‘Trapped in the Closet.’ I feel like the music video really helped me to better understand the song…
